Music For All - Music By All

Affordability Policy

The Chamber Orchestra of the Springs believes that music should be accessible for everyone, and that financial barriers should not stand in the way of experiencing the joy of live performance.

For patrons experiencing financial hardship, we offer pay-what-you-can pricing - simply call our Affordability Hotline at (719) 633-3649. We handle all requests with the utmost confidentiality and respect. No proof of need is required.

Non-Discrimination Policy

  1. The only criteria for selection and retention of all musicians, board members, staff, or service organizations and businesses shall be their ability to complete the task for which they are required.

  2. We commit to protecting our employees, personnel and contractors from discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, national origin, marital status, military status, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental handicap, veteran status, gender, gender identity, or gender expression.

  3. This policy applies to hiring, internal promotions, training, opportunities for advancement, terminations, relationships with outside vendors and customers, use of contractors and consultants, and the general public.

The Chamber Orchestra of the Springs believes that music should be a universal language. We acknowledge that classical music has been a historically unwelcoming environment for many marginalized communities, including women, people of color, low-income communities, and non-Western-European cultures. Implicit biases and structural inequity still impact those communities today.

We pledge to work to use our platform to fight inequity whenever we can, to continually listen to the marginalized communities we serve, and constantly examine our own institution for ways to improve.

Finally, music for everyone means music by everyone, which is why we proudly work to feature female and BIPOC performers and composers throughout our season.
