MEET THE ORCHESTRA

Heike Gazetti hails from Cincinnati, Ohio, and has enjoyed performing with the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs since 2009, and just recently began playing with the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra. Also a proud member of the USAF Academy Band since 1998, she has performed in the Concert Band, Ceremonial Band, Academy Winds, Rampart Winds, Polaris Reed Quintet, and most recently the Rockies Clarinets.

Performing with the Air Force allows Heike to perform in amazing venues like Carnegie and Davies Halls, the Macy's and Rose Bowl Parades, and also in multiple Southwest Asian countries. There, her group Mirage entertained US troops, coalition forces, diplomatic audiences, community members, and international students of all ages.

Heike loves to perform chamber music whenever possible with the many talented musicians in Colorado Springs, including the principal winds of the Chamber Orchestra and Underground Clarinet Quartet. Heike began musical studies with Louisville Orchestra clarinetist Dallas Tidwell, and went on to study clarinet with Charlie Neidich, Ayako Oshima, and David Shifrin at the Yale School of Music.
