MEET THE ORCHESTRA

Mexican-American violist Santiago Del Castillo Aréchiga has been performing professionally across the United States for half a decade. Santiago has performed regularly in New York’s Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall as well as Chicago's Symphony Hall. Santiago earned his Masters degree from Northwestern University and his Bachelor’s degree from the Mannes School of Music. His mentors have included Helen Callus, Daniel Panner, Adria Benjamin, and members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and Lyric Opera Orchestra. Outside of the orchestra, Santiago is a passionate advocate and performer of contemporary music and music from underrepresented voices.
